Multilingual Education National Action Plan (MENAP) 2015-2018 Launching 1st March 2016 at Kratie province

Multilingual Education Program has been introduced and started in some classrooms in public schools in the North East provinces of Cambodia since 2003; and currently about 5,500 indigenous students benefit from such education.

 

The Multilingual Education National Action Plan (MENAP) acknowledges that all children from ethnic minorities have the right to access education in their mother tongue and that this is the best approach for students to succeed. MENAP was officially approved by Minister of Education, Youth and Sport in October 2015, and launched in 1st March 2016.

 

This program will be expanded the number of multilingual pre-schools from 55 to 64 and primary schools from 80 to 108 by the end of 2018, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Dr. Hang Choun Naron announced in Kratie province during the Launching of Multilingual Education National Action Plan (MENAP) 2015-2018.

 

In the occasion of launching MENAP, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Dr. Hang Choun Naron had visited Multilingual Education Class activities in Te Chamlong Temporary School whose building supported by KAPE with community resource mobilization since mid of 2015.
