As such, individuals that have inherited family land/homes and farms as well as individuals that moved to this county, in order to get away from the crime in the big cities, are now faced with having their dreams and future destroyed.
Many citizens have come together as one, and filled the county board rooms, called commissioners and voiced their opinions about the Solar and Wind invasion.
As a result of their attendance and actions, new ordinances were enacted. That is great. However, those ordinances are only good, IF the county enforces their ordinances.
We are faced with board members that have told their audience they could NOT speak about certain subjects.
We are faced with board members that REFUSE to enforce their own zoning ordinances and have allowed a town board to approve construction of an industrial project on agricultural land in the county.
Every person that is paying taxes to this county, needs to realize that if you stay silent and allow these county executives to ignore their own ordinances and rules, NO ONE WILL BE SAFE.
No HOMES will be safe from any large corporation that wants to build an industrial or commercial project right next to your home, as long as the corporation waves big $$$$$$ in front of town or county board members, regardless of what the ordinances say.
When even the town and county attorneys ignore the laws, we are approaching a very dangerous situation for EVERYONE.
Residents in this county have been abandoned and ignored by the State Elected officials, County Elected officials and Town Elected officials.
Zoning laws are put into place for a reason. If they are ignored, if the rule of law is ignored for SOME people or corporations and not others, depending on who they know or how much money they have, we are ALL in danger.
Since a group of local citizens have decided to fight back against this corruption, and have hired our own attorney, we are asking our fellow citizens to stand up and help us cover the attorney fees needed to protect our homes as well as show up at board meetings and speak out here on social media and let EVERYONE know that you will not stand for corruption on a local level or for allowing large corporations to entice local boards to ignore their own ordinances and laws.
